Annie & John’s Engagement

Engagements are so exciting because it is a preview of how the wedding will turn out. Annie and John really do know how to throw a party and I can’t wait for their August wedding.

Annie waiting patiently as the procession begins.

Traditionally, the dowry will consist of only one pig. In this case, John’s family brought three!

Introduction of the family and waiting for the bride-to-be.

Annie looked amazing in her ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress).

The next photo was a fluke. My flash did not fire and the photo came out pitch black. I tried to save it and this was the best I could do, which didn’t turn out so bad. I kind of like it. Though, I did learn my lesson and I went out and bought a new battery pack.

After all of the formalities, it was time to eat. Annie and John ordered food from various places, including Brodard, which is one of my favorite places to eat.

The delicious cake was made from Final Touch Bakery in Orange County.

After the engagement, I was playing with the cutest baby. Meet Kayla! I dubbed her the little bug. She has the sweetest smile and the most adorable laugh. I just had to share a picture of her.
